About Dr. Quinn
Dr. Kathryn Quinn holds a Doctorate in Education with a specialization in counseling psychology. She brings a wealth of academic expertise and hands-on professional experience to her work, grounded in a career that spans the fields of education, mental health, and the performing arts.
Dr. Quinn has served in diverse roles across the educational landscape, including classroom teacher, school counselor, and elementary school Principal. In higher education, she has held positions as a full-time university Associate Professor, Clinical Director, and Director of Training—educating and mentoring future professionals with a focus on ethical practice and evidence-based care.
In addition to her academic and professional credentials, Dr. Quinn offers a deeply personal perspective as the stepmother of a twice-exceptional child. Her firsthand experience with the emotional and practical complexities of raising neurodivergent children brings both personal insight and professional expertise to her writing, offering compassionate, practical guidance for families and educators.
A lifelong creative, Dr. Quinn is also an accomplished singer and dancer. She has owned and operated six performing arts studios, teaching voice and dance to children ages 3 to 18. Today, she collaborates with her husband to write and perform original music, and has recently developed an interest in creating pottery and ceramics.
